Katherine Barr's photographs are often pleasantly small, as though
artistic bravado is abandoned in a ditch somewhere: "Look away
if you will. Look close and you will gain." Her silver gelatin "Snowfield
Tracks" shows clumps of grass emerging sporadically, fading
in from the whit background and the endless snow.
